Natural Thermal Springs of Montanejos and Girlfriend Waterfall

We went on a trip to Montanejos and Girlfriend Waterfall almost a week after the flood. First, we visited the waterfall, which was nice. After that, we headed to Montanejos Park, which was actually closed. However, we still entered because the guide had arranged permission with his boss. All we could do there was swim in the thermal springs, which were understandably not crystal clear as shown in the pictures, likely due to the recent floods. Also, the nearby territory was okay, nothing special to see. The price of the trip also included a one-hour hike, but this was not provided, again due to the flood's aftermath. We had a negative experience for the following reasons: 1. The trip was organized despite the vendor knowing the park was closed. Other vendors had made their trips unavailable for the entire week. 2. We were charged the full price but received only half of the planned itinerary. 3. The guide was too talkative, despite being nice to us, which left us with less time to enjoy the waterfall or the road. At some point, we felt obliged to focus on him instead of the surroundings. Given the unfulfilled experience, I am unsure if a refund is actually possible. The vendor should have been more transparent and canceled the trip instead.

We had an excellent tour, two teachers and 22 students. Our guide, Miquel, was fantastic at showing us the places and taking care of and listening to the students. A very very good experience

Our tour guide Miguel went above and beyond to give us the best experience! Very charming and funny above all! The waterfall experience was exceptional and beautiful. Met great people and ate a very nice lunch (not included). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We did this trip today. I will absolutely recommend it. It gives you a change from visiting museums and city life. We saw Spanish villages. We did moderate bit of trekking. We swam in the thermal springs too. The guide and his companion are very knowledgeable. They make you feel like you are family. They took our pictures, drove us. Looked out for our stuff, while we were in water. My son had a headache. The guide got paracetamol with him for him, upon my request. They also reserved our tables for lunch after we came out of water. They directed us, where to go and change and go for lunch. Food was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend to buy beach shoes for this activity. The thermal spring bed has lots of pebbles. If you have shoes on you can enjoy more. The guide also brought buoyancy aids with him. Those aids were useful. Although, I can swim but those aids increased my confidence as I was not very familiar with the area. Go for it. If you have read this far. Just book!

Had an absolutely amazing time on this day trip from Valencia to Montanejos! Our guide Miguel was a joy to be around, and our group thoroughly enjoyed the knowledge he shared about the region. We also loved the photos and video he took the time to create for us. The stops along the tour offered breathtaking views, and our experience swimming in the thermal springs will be one we remember for a lifetime. The whole trip was thoughtfully organized.
